Diego Dalla Palma Snow White and the Huntsman palette

What is it?

A palette partnered with the Snow White and The Huntsman movie containing 6 wearable eye shadows, an eyeliner and a lipstick.

Thoughts?

This palette is really great and contains six very wearable shades for eyes; three shimmery and three matte shades all with appropriate Snow White related names.

Snow, Shield, Mirror Mirror, Fairest, Destiny and Battleground are all beautiful neutral colours and very pigmented. Also included in this palette is The Wicked Queen lipstick a classic blood red and the Dark Night eye pencil in a good deep black.

At £25 for all of this, I think its a bargain. The packaging is cute, the colours are smooth and pigmented and the red lipstick and black liner are make up staples and great quality.

I bought this product from Tesco :

Urban Decay Naked Palette

What is it?

A gorgeous palette containing 12 neautral eyeshadows by Urban Decay.

The Review

This is a palette every make up fanatic needs (well – this or the Naked 2 palette – or both ūüėČ ). It’s full of a wide variety of neutral shades, both shimmery and matte and none of the usual chunky glitter that you run the risk of getting with some Urban Decay shadows. The shadows go on smoothly and blend very well.

This palette is perfect as a gift or for your average make up junkie and there are shades for a very natural look, summery bronze shades and of course some spectacular smokey ones too.

Worth the Money

Personally I feel like this¬†palette is quite pricey (it’s ¬£36 – ouch!)¬†but because of the quality of the shadows I would still say it’s definitely a good investment as there are a huge variety of looks that can be done with these colours.

This palette can be bought from some department stores and the official Urban Decay website:  http://www.urbandecay.co.uk/

Sleek Eyeshadow Palettes

What is it?

A highly pigmented eyeshadow palette that comes in several different colour ways and contains 12 eyeshadows. The one pictured above is called ‘Sunset’.

The Review

I was so impressed the first time I tried these eyeshadows that I now own four of these palettes! The colours are VERY pigmented, easy to blend and go on the skin really smoothly. The palette comes with 12 shadows and a double ended sponge applicator that sits in a smooth black case with a large mirror on the inside.

The majority of the shadows in each palette are shimmery with a couple of matte ones thrown in – you may be able to tell in the picture that the only matte in the Sunset palette is the black, this however doesn’t bother me in the slightest as they also do a natural palette.

The natural palette contains plenty of matte browns and soft neutral colours which is fantastic for every day use!

There are several palettes to choose from depending on what you’re looking for, some contain crazy acid brights and others are more neutral but there is definitely something for everyone.¬†

Worth the Money?

These palettes are ¬£6.49 each from Superdrug or Sleek’s official website so I firmly believe they are well worth the money – that’s not even ¬£1 per eyeshadow and the quality of these are amazing!

Goldmine

This is a bright gold frosty shade ideal for a brighter look, this can be paired with greens or teals for a tropical look or with a medium/dark brown in the crease for a night time look.

Rule

This is a bright matt orange shade that works well with brons for an autumn look or if you’re feeling a bit bolder then you could go for a medium deep purple in the crease and outer corner for a bright dramatic effect.

This is a matt soft pink, suitable for a soft, girly daytime look or good for blending out brighter colours in the crease. You could even put Carbon in the outer corner for a a really bold look,

This is a pinkish, bright violet shade with a slight gold shimmer, this shadow is ideal to use when creating a purple smokey eye.

Hepcat

This shade is another lovely pinkish violet that would look lovely on brown eyes.

This is a deep true green colour goes well with browns for a semi neutral look.

Bitter

Tis is a vivid green with shimmer. This is basically just a great colour to have a play and experiment with, it may sound a bit odd but it looks very pretty pared with purples.

Aquadisiac

This is a gorgeous shimmery minty teal colour which is very pretty on its own blended out all over the lid.

Electric Eel

This is a very bright blue with subtle shimmer, I like to use this shade as a bright liner along the lash line or if you really like to stand out then you could pair it with Aquadisiac for a bit of a tropical look.

Atlantic Blue

This is a matt ,bright violet blue shade, this a a more cool toned blue and looks far less scary when paired with a taupe/brown colour.
