What are they?
Longer lasting sort of ‘liquid lipsticks’… Gorgeous.
There are 8 shades in the collection ranging from nude to bright vivid red. There is definitely something for everyone and there are some great wearable every days pinks too. The packaging is lovely and you can see the product in the tube which is fantastic!
Application is a dream with a doe foot like applicator with a twist – the product collects in a little hollow in the applicator (see the above picture). Genius! You can use the colour straight like that for the full on gorgeously pigmented colour or wipe it off a little for a more natural colour. They apply with a gloss like shine and then settle to a subtle sheen.
The pigmentation is beautiful, colour range is fantastic and the the product is long lasting – perfect for night out, especially as the colours don’t bleed at all. An added bonus is that they are so comfortable to wear, they don’t dry my lips out like some other long lasting lippies I’ve tried. Can’t fault them!
From top to bottom: Apocaliptic, Nova and Celestial.
Worth the money?
Absolutely! These are fantastic and at £5.99 are very affordable.
You can get them on the Rimmel website, Boots and Superdrug 🙂 GO GET ‘EM GIRLIES!
What is it?
This is basically a chemical exfoliator, it contains Glycolic Acid which breaks down the dead skin cells and as a result it leaves your skin looking amazing! It smoothes, firms and freshens the skin whilst helping with break outs too – yay!
My skin looks so much healthier and happier the day after I use it and it really is an overnight transformation.
I tend to use this two or three times a week, I put a small amount on a cotton pad and apply it before I go to bed after removing makeup and washing my face.
You can also wait for it to dry on your face and use your moisturiser as normal for a gentler treatment, however I prefer to really go for it and skip my moisturiser on days I use this.
I’ve noticed a HUGE difference in the overall quality of my skin. Break outs are few and far between, my skin is less dull and more glowy. I feel it has dramatically reduced the number of breakouts I get as well as speeding up the time it takes for any small active break outs to heal.
Worth the Money?
The price of this product varies depending on where you buy it, I bought mine for £42 plus postage from amazon for 200ml so shopping around a little is a good idea.
I think it’s a fair price for a large quantity of product that is going to last a very long time. You can get just 100ml of product for around the £30 mark and I realise that’s not cheap either.
However, if you have dull, lifeless skin or very problematic skin this stuff is amazing! Bearing in my mind my skin is pretty good, I still feel it’s makes a massive difference and the only way to really understand it is to see for yourself!
I got mine from Amazon, so here is a link to 100ml :
Lookfantastic also have 200ml for £44.95 – much better value!
It’s rainy outside so I made a rainbow look just to brighten things up a bit 🙂 All eyeshadows used are by MAC.
Such a beautiful colour for spring/summer.
Creamy peachy pink, very flattering on all skin tones.
Two coats and a clear top coat gives a lovely opaque finish.
What is it?
A highly pigmented eyeshadow palette that comes in several different colour ways and contains 12 eyeshadows. The one pictured above is called ‘Sunset’.
I was so impressed the first time I tried these eyeshadows that I now own four of these palettes! The colours are VERY pigmented, easy to blend and go on the skin really smoothly. The palette comes with 12 shadows and a double ended sponge applicator that sits in a smooth black case with a large mirror on the inside.
The majority of the shadows in each palette are shimmery with a couple of matte ones thrown in – you may be able to tell in the picture that the only matte in the Sunset palette is the black, this however doesn’t bother me in the slightest as they also do a natural palette.
The natural palette contains plenty of matte browns and soft neutral colours which is fantastic for every day use!
There are several palettes to choose from depending on what you’re looking for, some contain crazy acid brights and others are more neutral but there is definitely something for everyone.
Worth the Money?
These palettes are £6.49 each from Superdrug or Sleek’s official website so I firmly believe they are well worth the money – that’s not even £1 per eyeshadow and the quality of these are amazing!
This is a bright gold frosty shade ideal for a brighter look, this can be paired with greens or teals for a tropical look or with a medium/dark brown in the crease for a night time look.
This is a bright matt orange shade that works well with brons for an autumn look or if you’re feeling a bit bolder then you could go for a medium deep purple in the crease and outer corner for a bright dramatic effect.
Free To Be
This is a matt soft pink, suitable for a soft, girly daytime look or good for blending out brighter colours in the crease. You could even put Carbon in the outer corner for a a really bold look,
Creme de Violet
This is a pinkish, bright violet shade with a slight gold shimmer, this shadow is ideal to use when creating a purple smokey eye.
This shade is another lovely pinkish violet that would look lovely on brown eyes.
This is a deep true green colour goes well with browns for a semi neutral look.
Tis is a vivid green with shimmer. This is basically just a great colour to have a play and experiment with, it may sound a bit odd but it looks very pretty pared with purples.
This is a gorgeous shimmery minty teal colour which is very pretty on its own blended out all over the lid.
This is a very bright blue with subtle shimmer, I like to use this shade as a bright liner along the lash line or if you really like to stand out then you could pair it with Aquadisiac for a bit of a tropical look.
This is a matt ,bright violet blue shade, this a a more cool toned blue and looks far less scary when paired with a taupe/brown colour.
