I’ve been travelling around a lot for work in the last few weeks and been busier than ever which is great for me but also means blogs have taken a back seat for a little while.
However, I have lots of new products to show you so keep a look out for posts on these coming soon!
Antique Gold, Mocha, Soft Touch, Perfect Plum, Passion Pink, Kiss
What are they?
Pigmented lip balms in an array of gorgeous colours.
These feel smooth and moisturising on the lips and were so pigmented! There is a good selection of colours ranging from neutral to bright red and they are all so pretty.
I decided to pick up 7 of the colours, however I only have 6 to show you as I gave the coral one ‘Irony’ to my mumma 🙂
Normally I wouldn’t splash out the full amount of money on these so I was lucky that I got them for £3 each from Superdrug in the clearance section – bargain!
The colours I have are Antique Gold, Mocha, Soft Touch, Perfect Plum, Passion Pink and Kiss.
Here they are swatched below in the above order:
Worth the Money?
I believe these retail for £7.34 so are quite pricey for something that claims to be a lip balm – however – these are definitely similar to the Revlon Lip Butters that everyone seems to be raving about (and with good reason!).
If you want a treat for your lips but can’t go without a bit of colour then these are worth the investment. As I mentioned earlier, I got mine for £3 each but would still purchase other colours full price.
These lovely lippies are available from Superdrug and online
I am absolutely loving this eyeshadow right now! A gorgeous shimmery golden shade.
A natural shimmery wash of colour on the lid, neutral looks and of course this shade also makes a great highlight for the top of the cheek bones and under the brow bone.
Easy to blend and makes a nice change from my usual highlight which is Shroom (also by MAC).
I cannot get enough of this lipstick, for the whole of March I’ve been wearing it almost every day and have found it goes with absolutely everything.
It’s a soft dusty, rose/nude shade but doesn’t make my lips look too pale.
LOVE LOVE LOVE…
What is it?
A deep cleansing clay mask containing anti bacterial Manuka honey.
The texture of this mask is fairly smooth and thin, it feels cold on the skin and dries like most clay masks.
Since I’ve been using this mask I’ve noticed a real difference in my skin, just as most teens do, I suffer from occasional breakouts in my t-zone and since using this twice a week I’ve noticed this hardly ever happens anymore yay!
The mask doesn’t feel horribly tight on the face when it dries and washes off easily with the sponge in the starter kit (the kit comes with 2) leaving my skin smooth and fresh looking. The joy with this particular mask is that unlike a lot of the clay masks I’ve tried, it really does the job without drying out the skin which is amazing!
Worth the Money?
I thoroughly recommend getting the starter kit which comes with 2 sponges and 75ml of product for £14. I’ve been using this twice a week for about 2 1/2 months now and haven’t finished half the tube yet. For the results I’ve experienced and the fact that all the ingredients are natural, Liz Earle has done it again, definitely worth the money!
This product is available from some department stores and the official Liz Earle website: http://uk.lizearle.com/exfoliators-and-masks.html
I’ve decided that every week I’m going to post a picture of a make up look I’ve worn .
This week I decided to do a green smokey eye with peachy lips and cheeks.
Eyeshadows used are all by MAC:
Lid and inner corner – Lucky Green
Crease and lower lash line – Swimming
Outer corner and edge of upper and lower lash line – Humid
Lips – Pink Lemonade lipgloss by MAC
Cheeks – Melba by MAC
What is it?
This is an eyeshadow primer available in four different shades that effectively prevents eyeshadows from creasing on the lid.
There’s quite a bit to be said about this eyeshadow primer. I’ve been using this for several years now and it’s a lifesaver!
This is perfect for those of you with oily lids whose shadow disappears after a couple of hours or just for preventing that annoying eyeshadow line that appears in the crease and messes up our wonderfully executed smokey eye!
There are four shades to choose from: Eden, Greed, Original and Sin. These shades all glide smoothly over the lid and have a lovely velvety texture. I find the best way to apply this product is with a fingertip but if you prefer then a flat shadow brush would work just as well, just remember, this product goes a long way so you only need a very small amount!
This product really is a must have for make up lovers as it really does keep eyeshadows on all day and night, it has enabled my shadow to last even through an exercise session! I love this stuff!
Worth the Money?
At £14.50 this product may seem a little expensive but a tube of this stuff will last you a very long time and keep your eyeshadow perfectly in place all day and night. Well worth the money!
